Kapow

Dance Circus Theatre (Est. 2015)

We are a Manchester based performance company working in dance, physical theatre and circus. We create bold and imaginative touring productions.

We want to share the joy of imagination, physical story telling and the moving body with audiences.

As well as creating professional touring productions we also create works for schools, universities and community groups.

We hope you enjoy exploring our website. You can find out about past, present and future shows here and if you scroll down a little more you can read about the individuals who make up Kapow.

If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to drop us an email.

Eithne Kane

Co. Founder & Artistic Director

Eithne began her movement career by training gymnastics from a young age before discovering the North Yorkshire County Youth Dance Company and finding her ongoing passion for contemporary dance and physical theatre. She went on to train at London Contemporary Dance School where this love of dance grew into a passion for choreography, physical story telling and athletic movement styles such as floor work and partnering.

Eithne mixes freelance performance work with devising independently, and has worked with Tilted Productions, Joli Vyann, Opera North, Jorge Cresis and Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre among others.

Eithne’s gymnastic experience has increasingly brought her into the world of contemporary circus - informing her acrobatic dance fusion. Eithne also teaches yoga, a practice which has been invaluable to her in times of injury - something she feels passionate about sharing.
